High-stakes, fast-moving corporate cases, such as battles for corporate control, litigation over going-private transactions, stockholder meeting-related disputes, and many other types of corporate and business litigation are best handled by a core team of experienced, dedicated and resourceful attorneys who have the energy and commitment to address sophisticated issues on an expedited basis.  Because of the speed with which these disputes develop and the nature of the issues involved, the cases typically do not lend themselves to large, multi-level teams of a dozen or more attorneys.  A&B was formed to provide the type of specialized, focused platform that can best litigate these cases.

A&B attorneys have extensive experience in a wide range of business and corporate litigation, both at the trial and appellate level.  Unlike many firms, we frequently represent both plaintiffs and defendants, and this experience gives our attorneys an added measure of insight on strategic and tactical issues.  We have a proven track record of offensive and defensive successes, including both obtaining and defeating expedited injunction applications and successfully prosecuting and defending claims for monetary or equitable relief.

A&B’s litigation practice primarily involves actions in the Delaware Court of Chancery, the nation's preeminent corporate law court, and the Delaware Supreme Court, the highest court in the State of Delaware.  The legal directory Chambers USA: America’s Leading Business Lawyers, produced by the international ranking firm Chambers & Partners, rates founding partner Kevin G. Abrams as one of the best lawyers in Delaware in the areas of business and commercial litigation and the handling of matters before the Court of Chancery.  Chambers bases its rankings on in-depth interviews with clients and practicing attorneys and does not list lawyers "unless they are strongly recommended by the market." A&B attorneys also appear in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

In addition to our Delaware practice, we frequently represent clients in other jurisdictions on matters involving Delaware law, corporate or business organization issues, or other commercial disputes.  A&B attorneys also handle commercial arbitration disputes, both in Delaware and nationally.
